The
company was founded in 1992 by the Director and CEO Mr. Nguyen
Vinh Son and moved quickly from subcontract orders from
other factories to dealing directly with the brands as Vietnam
became increasingly important in the global garment industry.
Our customers quickly recognized the focus on quality of
production and service; qualities that the best brands
seek out in their manufacturing partners. As the
relationships between MHG and its customers developed,
particularly with Nike, (www.nike.com)
who remains MHG’s most influential customer, the
capacity of our factory was soon fully booked and so
growth slowed.
This prompted several crucial changes within MHG. Firstly the
structure of the company changed from private family ownership
to becoming a Joint Stock Company. This change in legal
status allowed Mekong Capital (www.mekongcapital.com),
an investment fund specializing in investment
opportunities in Vietnam; to invest in MHG and so MHG
became the sole investment in the garment industry for
the fund, something we value immensely as a vote of
confidence in our future. At the same time the company
moved into new corporate} | headquarters in District 1 of Ho
Chi Minh City, initiating the transformation from a single
production facility company to multi-facility
organization capable of successfully making 25,000,000
pieces of garments per year.
We
consider ourselves as a customer-oriented company and to that
effect, our mission is to focus on what the customer wants.
This, we believe, comes down to three essential elements; Quality,
Price and Service. We know that our customers require a
consistent level of quality from their partners and also that
the main reason for the outsourcing of production is based on
cost effectiveness. Therefore we work hard to provide the
quality standards required, at a cost that makes strategic
sense. However, equally important is the customers’ peace of
mind and this can only come with trust; trust that MHG will
communicate promptly, keeping the customer informed of all
developments and delivering the finished goods on time and to
the required specifications.
